About BRM:
British Racing Motors were Britain’s first Formula 1 team. One of only 15 teams to win a constructors’ championship in F1 history. In 1962 BRM became one of only two manufacturers to win the World Championship in a car that was built and engineered entirely by themselves.

Founded in 1949 and based in the market town of Bourne in Lincolnshire, British Racing Motors raced from 1950 to 1974, competing in 172 Grand Prix and winning 17.  The team achieved 11 pole positions, 15 fastest laps, and still holds the record for winning the closest-ever Grand Prix finish. By the end of 1974 BRM’s drivers included 6 World Champions. Fangio, Hawthorn, Moss, Hill, Stewart, Surtees and Lauda.

More than 70 years since the first BRM V16’s debuted on a race track, BRM are reawakening. With 4 members of Sir Alfred Owen’s family at the helm, they are driving the BRM marque forward using the passion and innovation of the past to tell the BRM story authentically, introduce BRM to a new audience and go racing.
